51st International Film Festival of India, 2020, Goa gearing up for a digital show

MELBOURNE, 14 August 2020: The 51st International Film Festival of India, 2020. Goa is all set for a spectacular digital show from 20th – 28th November 2020. The Festival organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India in collaboration with the State of Goa and the Indian film industry. The Festival is recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers’ Associations (FIAPF). The 51st IFFI, 2020 being a hybrid film festival due to COVID-19 would screen the films on its official digital platform along with the theatrical screenings during the festival in Goa, subject to the prevailing conditions.

Entries for the International section and the Indian Panorama are now being accepted with the last date being 31 August 2020 and submissions can be made online at iffigoa.co.in. Indian films can only be submitted in the Indian Panorama section of the IFFI. Feature films(up to 3 films selected in the Indian Panorama section) would be considered for the international competition section of the IFFI. All rules and regulations can be accessed at iffmgoa.co.in.

Since 1952, India has hosted the festival, both competitive and non-competitive have been popular. The festival became an annual event from 1975 onwards.
