Anupam Kher writing a book on his pandemic experience

MELBOURNE,29 AUGUST 2020: Veteran Indian and Hollywood actor Anupam Kher is writing a book on his experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in Mumbai. Talking to Rajeev Masand at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2020 (IFFM2020), Film Club event today, Anupam Kher said he has completed about 60 to 70 % of the book. Anupam disclosed he had not gone for his acting work for the last five months due to the pandemic.

Answering a question by SAT, Mr. Anupam Kher said, “It will take a little time for audiences to feel comfortable going to the cinema halls in the post-pandemic period. Going to the cinema hall is an event and family affair and you also enjoy it when you pay for something.”

On a question by G’Day India about many movies being frowned upon by some in India, Mr. Kher said, “One should go ahead and make what one feels like making.”

Anupam Kher disclosed many incidents about the initial years of his career and experience during his first movie Saransh. He emphasized on ‘Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hi’ (anything can happen) as what he had experienced from his childhood in Simla and later his movie career, with about 500 productions to his credit starting in 1981.

The zoom interaction with the participation of more than 100 people with Anupam Kher today was introduced by Natasha Chacko, PTI correspondent in Australia and welcomed by Mitu Bhowmick Lange, CEO Mind Blowing Films, Melbourne and Director IFFM2020.
