  1. It is called a racist attack because of the comments and bruises being passed. Calling someone a “curry muncher” following their car screaming obscenities, beating them up saying “you took my job”
Can you honestly say that its not racially motivated. I agree that not everyone is like that. But if you look at the Stats, it is pretty high and something has to be done.

And for those of you who say stop whinning. Have you ever been beaten up because of your colour or been called obscene names because of your Nationality. YOU HAVENT, Thought so.

  2. There is a thing called expatriation. I have been living in Australia for over 7 years. ANy where you go in this world , if you look, speak and think different from the locals you are an expat. It takes time for one to get integrated. One had to take some effort to integrate. I know foreign students who refuse to mix with the locals, as they are different, helooooo, its not the locals’, its you who is different.

Regards claims of racist attack, get a fresh pair of undies and get on with it. ‘Go to a pub talk to the locals have a few beers . AS for the rest keep whining!

  3. Im so sad for you Indian folk, Your ignorance is blinding.
Australia is not a racist country.
The indian man that was killed in the home invasion was not a racist attack.
What you don’t realize is this happens to Aussies too! the ranting of go back home to India from one or two ppl is not speaking for the whole Australian community.
The point is it dont matter where you come from where ur visiting or what country your in, there is good ppl and there is bad ppl there are good spots and dangerous spots sadly footscray isnt very safe! which i will also point out that policing has stepped up in footy now as a result.

One thing you will see in Australia is religions sitting along side each other peacefully and accepting each others values etc! can you say that happens in India??
Australia is not a racist country just ask all the asians, indians, greeks, italians, islanders, middle east, russians, spanish, turks, french, jewish, ppl that call australia home!
We care very open to other cultures, customs, please dont boycott my home based on ignorance.
Learn the truth before you talk!

Khush don’t be ashamed of being what and who you are!
Australia is and always will be the blessed country! we are a loving forgiving group of ppl, we will rise over this 😀 XX

  4. All Indians should go back to India and racially discriminate each other as they brought discrimination everywhere they go. Its worth it to bring back discrimination to them as they deserve it! I have never met a single Indian who sincerely believe that all people are equal, hindi/muslim/christian all Indians are the same.

  5. Facebook group.
International students are welcome. Racists are not.

A group where Australian and International students can join and chat about current events, political and social issues, music, sport, art, and to post events, or organise social events… Or anything really! No haters!

  6. The ‘racist’ attacks against Indians is TOTAL RUBBISH! I am an indian and now ashamed to be one. Why? Because us Indians love to criticize other people but we fail to notice our own faults. If you travelled late on a train in India with valuables with you, you would probably be murdered.

These small attacks on Indian students have been pounced on by the Media. Australia is a MULTICULTURAL country. It is a friendly country. It is NOT racist. The only reason the government has taken action is because of the pressure the Indian media is giving it.

To be honest, us Indians are making fools of ourselves by getting ‘outraged’ by these attacks. IT IS TOTAL RUBBISH!

For those of you who live in India and warning other people of not coming to Australia, get lost and get a life. I no longer am a proud Indian, I am an ashamed one.

I have been to India several times and having been born in Sydney, I realised how lucky Indians who live in Australia are. If you live in Australia and call Australians racist, then don’t live here!

I am a proud Australian, respect Australian values and the Australian government. India also fails to notice that it is a racist nation. Look at the caste system. The way Muslims are treated (I am Hindu, yet the way we treat Muslims in India is disgusting!)

Don’t call other countries racist when a minor thing happens like this and solve racial issues in India.

  7. yes, of course it is a sad of our indians being attacked their in australia but have you ever noticed that people from north east like nagaland, mizoram, meghalaya…. are also indians but when they they travel to part of india they are being asked as to wheter they are indians or not??? i’m so surprised that they cant even reognized thier own indian citizens….. wow!!! thats strange…. and they keep asking wheter we are are from china or nepal or thailand or so on… racism is part of everyone’s issue because its not where you live or whom you meet but its how you live and how you deal with it.

    thank you

CANT FEED MY DAUGHTER NOW but i keep hearing and reading about racist aussies and the poor little indians. Why do indians only ever want to employ other indians?

  10. I’m an Indian with attitude and dignity.and i’m proud to be an Indian. Most of the people don’t know that,Every single human being equally touched with their own country, and always support their country persons.Nobody can deny this fact.(It’s nature)What happened couple of months ago with bush fire was in headlines.I don’t know about others but i personally gave help to them through cash.At that time i didn’t think about it whether they are Australian or other country’s people. And Now if we are supporting our country persons ,than what’s wrong with this. I know every single country got racists, We are accepting this . that we got racists as well. But we got problem with our own country persons not with others, Pakisthan is a different story. But when i was back in india , i still remember,I always feel good to see any anglo’s around.I have so many anglos friend some are good and some are bad.But i read so many comments on youtube or other sites, Most of the people don’t like Indian. WHY …….we never start the fight. If someone abuse you and you return the favour, that the dignity,Attitude.i don’t think there is any problem.I personally love every single human being, because i don’t have any probelm with anyone. But if someone gives me nut, than i will defi bloody nately give him reply, with full of anger.whether the other person is from Australia,Usa,Canada or from my country. And some people thinks that we are taking advantages of this country? than,i must say Why not.Did you gave us money to come over here in Australia or Gov.?The answer is NO.You always like those people who are not in front of you, reading the magazines is not enough to know about those peoples, who they are and what they do,Try to face us.If you love Indians they will die for you.Yes we are friends of friends.
India is a large country.so many people, cultures, religious.but i’m from this genration.i don’t know what my grandfather did in his life and i’m sure that you people either don’t know about your grandfather’s past. This is the time to write new era.And one more thing You go anywhere around the world. You have to face this fact, Indian can go any bloody where. If you try to reach on moon or jupiter.we will see you there.

i’m just a ordinary man, What i learned in my life its infront of you. And it doesn’t matter what color u r or what nationality.
The difference is illitrate or llitrate people.

Try to make peace, love humanity. And please use decent lauguage on the streets and give some respect to Women.

    Excuse for everything.JR

  11. why is this even called a racist attack, australians are attacked every week by other ethnic groups, these are dickheads who just wanted a cigarette, it could have been anyone attacked, and if it was an australian attacked it would have been hardly newsworthy.

  12. ya just because of this incident we cant term all Australians as racist.
    every country has racial discrimination
esp India.. so please think about the situation in India then comment on other countries. ciao

  13. Iam i indian student living in sydney, i dont find all aussies racist, most of them are very nice humanbeings, very hleping and wonderful people, about this attack i would like to say it has been done with gangstars, who roam over public places during off peak hours for a cigarette or for some money i have come across few people like this who cought me and demanded for money and i was left with no other option then giving them what they want, in some incidents when students give them money they still beat them up, my question is why do they hold indian studnets up, why not the locals ?
this is the point where the goverment need to think on and come up with some security ideas for the students,
    thank you

  14. Indian students should take a second look to consider Australia as a place to study. Attacks on Indian students shows the hate they show for Indians. India should issue an advisory to goto Australia.

  15. Racist Australian. Australian welcome to foreigner for racist attack & for there violence target only.
I tell to all Indian, chinese, Asia , African. Stop going to Australia.
