Adelaide: Indian student bashed, Pak student car torched

Adelaide: A 22 year old Sikh student from India has been bashed in Adelaide. The unnamed victim was bashed after a fight broke out after the attacker struck his turban, The Advertisor reports.
The man, 22, who late last night asked The Advertiser not to identify him, was left with a bloodied nose and sore jaw in an incident which mirrored attacks on Indian students interstate.
Police this morning said they had arrested and charged a Craigmore youth, 17, over the incident. He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court, the newspaper reports.
In another incident, Pakistani student Yasir Raja, 26, believes his Holden Commodore was torched because of its “Raja” numberplate.Mr Raja, told The Advertiser that friends living in the Enfield area had increased security around their homes in fear of racist attacks.
