Melbourne Vigil supports Indian healthcare workers

MELBOURNE, March 15, 2021: A massive Vigil was held today here to support Indian healthcare workers who are battling the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event which took place at the city’s Federation Square attracted many doctors, healthcare workers, and community members. Despite the cold weather the crowd passionately heard the speakers. Dr. Ranjana Srivastava addressed the gathering expressing solidarity with healthcare workers in India.

Patriotic songs including ‘Ae mare watan ke logon- zara aankh main bhar lo paani…” were sung. People then signed their messages to India on a register expressing solidarity with healthcare workers and others working hard to fight the pandemic. The organizers included Dr Ranjana Srivastava and Dr. Nisha Khot among others.
