SYDNEY/MELBOURNE, October 15, 2021: Vishal Jood, an Indian student charged with various criminal offences and sentenced to one-year imprisonment, was today shifted straight to custody by immigration officials after being released on parole.

Vishal was freed on parole after serving six months, in a plea bargain, admitting some charges and others being withdrawn, reports NRI Affairs.com quoting a source on condition of anonymity.

“He has been taken straight from jail to Villawood, where he will be possessed and deported, ” the report says.

Vishal is to be deported because he was on an expired visa when he was nabbed by NSW police, in April after acts of violence, and jailed by a Parramatta court for one year. Vishal qualified for parole on 15 October 2021.
