MELBOURNE, 22 October 2021: Prime Minister Scott Morrison today said “Australia ready to take off” because of the rising vaccination rates. He was addressing the media in the morning at the Hanger 96, Qantas Jet base, along with NSW Premier and Alan Joyce, Qantas CEO.

Alan Joyce announced Qantas nationwide restart from December and most employees joining work by Christmas. A Dreamliner will depart Sydney to Darwin on its way to London on November 1 and there will be flights soon to Delhi, Singapore, Fiji, Johannesburg, Bangkok, and Phuket, he announced.

The Prime Minister said already 320,000 people had downloaded the vaccine certificates and Australia is on its way towards becoming the most vaccinated country in the world. All this, he said, was the consequence of the national plan to open up Australia safely.
