Sanjay Dutt gets six years imprisonment in Bombay blasts case

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was today sentenced to six years imprisonment by a TADA cout in the 1993 Bombay blasts case.Also known as ‘Sanju’, his latest hits were ‘Shootout At Lokhandawala’ & ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. His father was the famous actor Sunil Dutt and mother famous actress Nargis Dutt. Dhamaal, Alibagh Mister Fraud and Munna Bhai Chala America are some of his films in the pipeline. During the sentencing Sanjay Dutt said, ” see my conduct, don’t send me to jail. I will not run away”. There were tears in Sanjay Dutt’s eyes as he heard the verdict. Sanjay has been convicted in the Bombay blasts case for acquiring a gun and then later trying to destroy it.

Delivering the verdict the judge said that Sanjay Dutt connitted crime and pushed others into it.

The verdict is likely to be challenged in the Supreme Court.
