Adelaide: In a crucial development, the racial abuse charge against Harbhajan Singh has been dropped. The spinner was fined 50 per cent of match fee on a lesser charge.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia said that the tour will go on and that BCCI is happy with the way things have gone. Both the teams will leave for Melbourne on Wednesday.

The Twenty20 international match is on Friday (February 1, 2008)

Appeals Commissioner Justice John Hansen from New Zealand would soon submit a report to ICC chief Malcom Speed.

Reacting to the positive development, BCCI’s Sharad Pawar said, “I’m happy with the decision, tour will continue.”
