Indian attacked in Sunshine, hospital fails to stitch wound

By our community reporter

Melbourne: An Indian man had a deep cut near the right eye after he was allegedly punched by the occupant of a car, which earlier rubbed his car while overtaking in the Sunshine area (crossing of Hampshire Rd and Devonshire Rd) on 13 June at around 10 pm. Therefore, the victim started bleeding and felt terrible pain. The attack took place after the Indian man asked the occupants of the speeding car at the red light that he suspected that there was some damage to his car. Another occupant of the car allegedly sweared at him and threatened to smash the windows of the car.

A complaint has been lodged in the Sunshine police station. It is suspected that the registration number of the assailants’ car is either suspended or cancelled. Earlier the victim who needed stitches waited for more than three hours at the emergency of the Sunshine Hospital but was only given first aid. He got the wound stitched the next day from his GP.

The police are trying to nab the alleged occupants of the car.
