New Delhi: The Hindu-nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the biggest party in the Southern Indian state of Karnataka. Elections were recently held for the state assembly.The following are the final results:

Total results declared: 224
BJP: 110
Congress: 80
Janata Dal -S: 28 &
Others: 6
