From Rajeev Sharma In New Delhi
Mr Rahul Gandhi, son of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, has been appointed as Congress General Secretary.
Rahul was elected to the Lok Sabha from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh in the last general elections. The party has also announced many other organisational changes.
