Melbourne: International students will now have a free guide which will give most of the information needed by a new student here. It gives idea of Australian life, shopping, nightlife, safety tips and much more.
Called the “The Insider- International Student Guide to Melbourne” it was today launched by the Hon. Bronwyn Pyke, Minister for Education, Victoria, at the Australian National Institute of Business & Technology (ANBIT) in the city.
The Minister said the guide has all the practical information needed by a new international student. Others who addressed the gathering included ANBIT CEO and Vasan Srinivasan, President FIAV.
The Insider – International Student Guide to Melbourne is a free, annual publication, written by local and international students (past and present) to help international students integrate into the city.
Recent events have indicated a serious need to make international students feel more comfortable in Melbourne. This publication is designed to help make a difference to the lives of international students who are feeling lost.
The guide will be available free in universities, colleges and places frequented by international students.
