Melbourne: Three Indian cars were fire bombed here in latest attacks in the predominately Asian suburb of Springvale. An Indian overseas student Gurvinder Singh was confronted at the Springvale Railway Station where aging of youths demanded money on the midnight of Saturday and Sunday. Gurvinder fled to his apartment, the youths taunted him, before firebombing three tenant cars. One of the tenants in the housing complex told Gautam Gupta of the Federation of Indian Students of Australia (FISA), that they only thought what would have happened if the petrol bomb had entered the adjacent room to the cars. Police are investigating the case and have said the incident is not racially motivated.
