Melbourne: Police here are hunting a suspected Punjabi speaking man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old (reported as being of Indian origin by Ch-10) woman last night in Springwale.
According to a media release by Senior Constable Marita Kidd, ” The woman was walking along St James Ave at 11.25pm when she was grabbed from behind by a man and forced into a vehicle. The woman was driven to a second location where the man has allegedly sexually assaulted her. After the assault the woman was driven by the man to Royal Ave, Springvale and released.”
“The man is described as being between 25 and 30-years-old, 175cm tall, dark skinned with short black straight hair. He was said to be wearing an orange shirt with a round neck and dark coloured pants. The woman was wearing a hot pink jacket, black shirt and black trousers. It is believed the man spoke to the woman in Punjabi during the attack.,”the release further says.
