From Rajeev Sharma In New Delhi
The first meeting of the Governing Council of the
Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre(OIFC) was held at
New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Mr. Nirmal Singh,
Secretary Ministery of Overseas Indian Affairs(MOIA).
It was decided that OIFC would play an important role in PBD
being organized at New York on 23 September,2007 and
later in PBD will be held on 8-9 january 2008 in
India.
Mr. Vayalar Ravi, Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs
met the trustees and reiterated that OIFC will serve
as a “one stop shop” for the Overseas Indians.
