Sydney, June 4: The All International Student Association (AISA) held a peaceful rally in Sydney today. Hundreds of international students from different countries attended the rally.

“Government should exempt existing student from this new Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and/or give them 3 years- 485 visa,” said the event cordinator Sakib Syed.

“Government has taken our money, left us without any hope” said Harry Singh
Vice President of AISA while addressing the rally.

“We have left our kids, our families behind, just for one hope to apply for
PR after our study. But this government has destroyed that hope” said Reveena Garg Female co-ordinator of AISA.

“We will not let this government destroy our future, “ said Navjot Singh, President AISA addressing the rally

The AISA has demanded the following:

The SOL should not apply to any student who was in Australia on or before
8th Feb 2010, Graduate Skill Visa 485 Should be extended to 3 year, so the students can get the required experience for employer nomination and the threshold of $45,220 should be removed from 457 visa.
