MELBOURNE, 2 January 2024: Time-poor Aussies looking to quickly book a beauty treatment or pick-me-up massage can now book these treatments through a convenient online platform, bemyfreelancer.com without the hassle of phoning up shops and trying to align their busy schedules with the limited appointments available in one month’s time.

Founded in Melbourne, BeMyFreelancer is an online platform that connects customers with freelancers in the beauty, fitness and massage industries. BeMyFreelancer offers benefits to freelancers by managing marketing, technology, scheduling, billing, and invoices, thereby allowing the freelancer to focus solely on their craft.

By passing the frustration of trying to find an appointment that suits, the nuisance of finding parking and the irritation and time wasting of arriving at appointments 10 minutes early, only to wait a further 20 minutes, BeMyFreelancer is the online platform that gives customers the convenience of booking the services they want, at a time they want, and without the expensive premium price tag.

BeMyFreelancer is the brainchild of Bhawna Singh

“At the age of 35, with zero prior experience, I embarked on the journey of creating BeMyFreelancer while still working full-time in financial services. The inspiration behind the vision was straightforward. Living in this ‘side hustle’ culture, I noticed people seeking additional work beyond their existing commitments, driven by passion and purpose. I noticed then that there was a lack of a recognisable brand in freelancing synonymous with beauty, fitness, or massage industries, all encompassed within one health and wellness platform. I spent the next three years developing the platform that is now BeMyFreelancer,” Bhawna explained.

“As the daughter of immigrant parents who took risks and made sacrifices to immigrate to Australia in the early 90s, I witnessed their unwavering work ethic, juggling two jobs to provide the family with opportunities. Their dedication instilled in me a strong set of values centred around hard work. These values have fueled my ambition to aspire for the extraordinary, challenge conventional norms, and adopt a mindset of resilience and perseverance.”

Innovative approach paves the way for quick success

“We launched BeMyFreelancer just over half a year ago and have already seen remarkable growth, with over 500 signups and a network of 80 premium freelancers in beauty, massage, and fitness nationwide. This indicates to me that Australia is really needing a platform like this, and we look forward to further expanding our customer base. In fact, our aim is to reach 500 premium freelancers, garner 5,000 signups and achieve 1,200 bookings by 30 June 2024,” Bhawna said.

“What truly sets BeMyFreelancer apart is our distinctive position in the market as the platform seamlessly integrates beauty, fitness, and massage services under one roof. We’re also working on developing a convenient, user-friendly app to launch within the next three months. This will greatly improve the usability for our customers and enhance their user experience, making it easier than ever to search for and book the services that they want.”

The service is available in Sydney , Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and  Singapore.
