Indian High Commission condemns vandalism at Melbourne temples

 

MELBOURNE, 26 January 2023: The High Commission of India, Canberra has issued a press statement on the recent incidents of vandalism at three Hindu temples here. The statement Tweeted by the Indian mission, today (26 January, 2023) and also posted on its Facebook page has called the vandalism incidents ‘deeply disturbing.’ ” These incidents are clear attempts to sow hatred and division among the peaceful multi-faith and multi-cultural Indian-Australian community,” the statement says.

The vandalism incidents that occurred in January at temples in Mill Park, Carrum Downs and Albert Park are being investigated by the Victoria Police.
