JOINT STATEMENT – 1st Australia-India annual summit

The Australian Prime Minister Antony Albanese visited India from 8 to 11 March 2023. With him were Australia’s Minister for Trade & Tourism  Don Farrell, Minister for Resources, Madeleine King MP, a high-level official delegation and a large business delegation.  Prime Minister Albanese visited Ahmedabad, Mumbai and New Delhi on his first bilateral visit to India. A joint statement of Indian PM Narendra Modi and Australian PM Antony Albanese was issued on 11 March, 2023 and posted on the Australian PM’s media site. The joint statement has 50 paragraphs and covers a wide range of subjects and issues including the economy, trade, investments, climate, technology, defence and people-to-people relations.
