MELBOURNE, 22 July, 2023: Mitu Bhowmick Lange, will be the keynote speaker for the Asian-Australian Leadership Awards Gala Dinner to be held in Melbourne in November, 2023. This has been announced today in Tweet by the AsiaLink on 20 July, 2022. Details of the event are awaited.
Mitu is an Indian-Australian filmmaker, film producer and founder-director of Mind Blowing Films, the leading film distribution company specialising in distribution of Indian and local content to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papa New Guinea. She is credited for integrating Indian cinema into mainstream Australian and New Zealand cinemas.
Mitu is also the founder and director of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, the largest annual celebration of Indian cinema outside India, and has provided line production services for a number of Hindi films, including Salaam Namaste, Chak De India and Love Aaj Kal.
Under Mitu’s leadership, the IFFM-2023 is scheduled from 11-20 August, 2023, with hundred plus movies to be screened in cinema halls and online, in 20 languages.
