MELBOURNE, 23 April 2022: Peter Khalil MP, praises the vibrance of the Nepalese and other South Asian communities in the North and Australia. Peter was addressing the Wills Multicultural Dinner organized today by the Friends of Nepal and supported by other multicultural communities at the Estonian House in Brunswick West. Peter hailed the contributions of the different South Asian and other multicultural communities.
Addressing the gathering Andrew Giles MP, Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs alerted against forces trying to divide the communities and politics, citing the example of One Nation. He said the full potential of the nation’s institutions including the economy is for all the communities. We celebrate multiculturalism for the future of Australia, he said.
The fundraising event was also addressed by Rajesh Acharaya, President of the Australian Nepalese and Multicultural Community, Enver Erdogan – MLC, and Chitaranjan Devkota among others. Praveen Kumar also conducted a fundraising auction. Apart from the mouth-watering dinner, the event also saw a few cultural items.
