PM’s jobs summit is not for jobs but for trade unions: Peter Dutton

Leader of Opposition Peter Dutton today lashed out at Primer Minister Antony Albanese for his upcoming job and skills summit, calling it a summit for trade unions. The PM’s jobs and skills summit on September 1 and 2 is, says Guardian Australia, is broadly modelled on Bob Hawke’s 1983 economic summit and has a tripartite structure, bringing together business, unions and the community sector.
“What is on the agenda?
The agenda includes sessions on:
Maintaining full employment and growing productivity
Equal opportunities and pay for women
Sustainable wage growth and the future of bargaining
Mega-trends driving our current and future skills needs
Workforce opportunities from clean energy and tackling climate change
Skills and training
Migration
Workforce participation” says Guardian Australia.

Mr. Dutton also spoke about the backlog of visas for international students from India and other countries. Mr. Dutton was at a multicultural community interaction in Dandenong. He expressed his happiness at being able to help communities from many countries to make Australia home, including Afghanistan and Ukraine.
