Mumbai, 30 June : Ever since the news of Abhinav Kashyap’s movie with Ranbir Kapoor hit the marquee; speculations were rife who would be his lady love in the film titled Besharam. It was said that Parineeti Chopra was in the running for the role but now we hear an Indo-Australian dancer-actor Pallavi Sharda has been finalized for the film.
A source confirmed the development saying that Parineeti did audition for the film but she wasn’t up to the mark. They then came across Pallavi and together took a decision to cast her as she looked the part. She recently signed on the dotted line. Pallavi did bit roles in films like Love Breakups Zindagi, Dus Tola and ‘My Name Is Khan’. This will be her first full–fledged lead role. Buzz is that Ranbir too seconds the views of the makers that Pallavi is indeed suitable for the role.
Pallavi on her part stays non-committal about the project. She just said that she is discussing projects with people but can’t confirm any thing prior to an official announcement. Besharam will apparently see Ranbir in a ruffian role who is loud and ill-mannered. It is said that the actors will have to join a workshop to get a hang of their characters.
