Indian Consul Raj Kumar visits IDM Instruments, Australia

MELBOURNE, 17 May: India’s Consul General Mr. Raj Kumar here was today at the IDM Instruments, Hallam, Australia, to look at technology for testing, exported to many countries.  The testing equipment is also exported to India. Mr. Raj Kumar interacted with Tommy Halmos, Managing Director, IDM Instruments and Ian Gardner, President of the Science Industry Australia.

Mr. Halmos gave a briefing to Mr, Raj Kumar about the company and its designing, manufacturing, testing, and measuring instruments. The Indian Consul showed keen interest in the presentation and was impressed to see instruments exported to India.

Mr. Halmos also informed about their representative in Bangalore and the exports to India. On a question by SAT, Mr. Halmos said, the recent free trade pact signed between Australia and India might be of help to their company by way of ease in business and tariffs. India’s hard market could be better, he said.

 

Mr. Raj Kumar was taken for a tour of the manufacturing area, where he was shown some of the equipment exported to India and the manufacturing that was taking place. He offered all support to the IDM Instruments from the Melbourne Indian consulate for business and trade in India.
