MELBOURNE, 3 July: A big delegation of the Australian-Afghani community members were today welcomed at the Gurdwara Siri Guru Nanak Darbar Officer. The program took off with a prayer ‘Chaupai Sahib’ aimed at the well-being of different communities in Afghanistan.

Welcoming Mr. Wahudullah Waissi, Mr. Ishaq Sadath, and others, Mr. Harpreet Singh said we will keep praying for the protection and prosperity of all Afghan brothers, sisters, and children.

” We welcome you all here amid the tension over the recent attack on a Sikh Gurudwara in Afghanistan and other similar threats.

We urge you to keep us in your prayers and use your channels to press the authorities in Afghanistan to keep sacred places and minorities protected, ” he said.

The delegation then joined the traditional ‘langar’ at the Gurudwara.
