The Consulate General of India Melbourne, the AICCT, FIAV, and the AIBC held the flag hoisting of Australian and Indian flags to celebrate Indian Republic Day and Australia Day on 26 January 2022 at the Indian Community Centre run by the Australian Indian Community Charitable Trust.
Indian Consul General Melbourne Mr. Rajkumar, Victoria opposition leader Mr. Mathew Guy, Mr. Vasan Srinivasan, Chairperson – Australian Indian Community Charitable Trust, Mr. Sury Prakash Soni, President, Federation of Indian Associations of Australia (FIAV) were present among others. The event had national anthems of India and Australia, addresses by the VIPs and networking followed by snacks.
