Buddha Purnima’s harmony message from Melbourne

MELBOURNE, 29 May 2022: Buddha’s birthday – Buddha Purnima, today gave the message of harmony and peace to the community at the gigantic Quang Minh Buddhist Temple, Braybrook. A large number of true believers and friends gathered here to further spread the message of Buddha in a simple and calm atmosphere despite the chilled wind blowing outside.

The event was organized by the Ambedkar International Mission, Australia, and united Buddhists, and different communities for Buddha’s message to go to everyone.

Amid Buddhist prayers, by six monks, and Dhammachari Maitrikashin from the Melbourne Buddhist center created positive vibes via prayers, Dhamma talk, and meditation. The rather meditative assembly looked immersed in silence. India’s Consul General Mr. Raj Kumar was present along with many others and in his address, he stressed the need to follow Buddha’s teachings and Buddha’s teachings.

Mr. Siddarth Maitrak’s thoughtful speech on Dhamma and its values inspired those present.

The function was at the main shrine inside the huge Quang Minh Buddhist Temple, with a massively big golden statue of Buddha and beautiful decorations, giving the ambiance of calmness and peacefulness.

A photograph of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the shrine gave the message of standing up against social and economic oppression. The Organising team offered a Chivar Dana and Dhamma-Dana to the Buddhist monks.

To spread kindness and harmony within the people, a ‘Buddha Gift’ ceremony was organised and children presented ‘Buddha Gifts’ to the people.
The event was called as ‘The Buddha Gift’, a fit tribute to a global thinker.
