022: India’s Independence Day was celebrated today here at the Selandra Community Hub with massive community participation.
The celebrations were organized by Nirmal Namdhari, President and Secretary Monika Dhingra of the Selandra rise Indian Australian Community.
The celebrations included Nirmal Namdhari, Monika Dhingra, Pauline Richard MP, Miss India 2017, Sana Dua, and Manoj Kumar among others.
National anthems of Australia and India were played followed by speeches by invited guests.
The speakers congratulated the community on India’s 75th Independence Day and expressed happiness at the growing and strong relations between Australia and India.
The speeches emphasized the importance of India’s Independence Day and the democratic system. This was followed by community networking and snacks.
The event ended with a pledge to further consolidate relations between Australia and India.
