MELBOURNE,27 January: India’s Republic day was today celebrated at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) by Melbourne Stars (Big bash team) and the Cultural Pulse with great fanfare.
There were Bhangra, classical dance and DJ music and people danced to the latest Bollywood music. Lots of prizes were given away to participants. National anthems of Australia and India were played. The extremely hot weather did not stop anyone from enjoying the day. The event was followed by the Melbourne Stars vs Hurricanes.
