Minister Ingrid Stitt inaugurates Durga Temple car park

MELBOURNE, 11 April, 2025: Devotees visiting the Sri Durga Temple, Rockbank, will now have more access to parking in front of the temple premises, with the opening of a new car park.
Victoria’s Multicultural Minister Ingrid Stitt today inaugurated the new car park of the Sri Durga Temple, Rockbank. Luba Grigorovitch MP, Parliamentary Secretary Outdoor Recreation, Steve Dimopoulos MP, Minister for Environment, Tourism, Sport and Major Events and Outdoor Recreation, Mathew Hilakari MP, and 
temple officials, community leaders including K. Joshi, President Sri Durga Temple were present.
The construction of this care park has been “made possible with $400,000 from the Multicultural Infrastructure Fund. Today’s inauguration saw ribbon cutting, puja, and tree plantation.
This isn’t just about parking spaces, it’s about supporting one of Victoria’s vibrant communities with the infrastructure they need, says Luba Grigorovitch MP in a Facebook post .
According to Gary Verma, Vice President, Sri Durga Temple, the car park has space for 165 vehicles to park and the temple office bearers, and devotees are thankful to the Victorian government and the Multicultural Infrastructure Fund for helping to have the car park at the temple.
