The Scripted Art Collective brings language on art landscape

MELBOURNE, 26 June 2022: Art encompasses diversity within itself. It can take many forms – visual, sculpture, music… and so on. The list can be endless and culturally it is the application of human creativity in many forms. Today we had something different as it was language and painting coming together in a rather unique style of art. While there was a traditional art exhibition nearby in full swing, The Scripted Art Collective tried to create a collaborative artwork (live) celebrating Australia’s multicultural ethos.

On small pieces of paper, one wrote a piece in one’s own language, and then it was stuck on a large painting where brushes imparted colors combining the language and painted area guided by Pratibha Madan’s art skills. This canvas of multicultural unity will soon be a permanent display. It was like sharing bits of your culture laced with the power of the mother tongue. Red, blue, yellow, green, brown, white, and think of any color or blend it was all there.

Pratibha Madan’s Preetkriti supported by the Monash Council brought this multicultural ambiance into action today at the Mt Waverley Community Centre. No doubt, it was an arty experience never to be forgotten.
