MELBOURNE, 8 March, 2025 : Urban Vegas and the Entrepreneur Business Club’s annual signature event to mark the International Women’s Day 2025, powered by the none other than Kavita Chhabra, at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, welcomed esteemed guests with Accordion music by Sofia, followed by a spectacular cat walk by Massive Collection. It was a fashion show offering so many new designs impressing distinguished guests.
In the foyer, there were stalls – Knowing Your Soul, Design by Aapsee, Orne Trendz, Kahayag.candles, Navita , Kazaaru among others. A sip of Navita coconut water on display by Adrian Syons could not be missed. The highly recommended fragrance soy candles from Kahayag made their presence evident. The limited edition outerwear from Orne for all occasions were stylish and impressed those present. Kazaaru designs by Sapsee and Ruhi Kapassi’s as a tarot life coach guided many. No doubt, Kavita assembled the best for the celebration and people were impressed. And, the Bali Java dance was a bonus of the day.
Celebrating women in business, keynote speaker Holly Bailey, founder Play Like a Girl Australia, spoke her journey as to how to empower women and girls to reach their full potential, both on and off the field. Her’s is a global movement, with special leadership programs, that lead to empower women and girls to connect to the community. It was so impressive to hear her determined efforts to empower women and girls through sports.
Catherine Burnett, a former state MP (Liberal) in the Legislative Council for the Eastern Victoria region, who has been providing immigration and visa advice to individuals and businesses for over 20 years, through Ferntree Migration spoke about her work and experiences.
Mira D’Silva, Federal Liberal candidate for Lalor, hosted a lively panel discussion with Judy Cheung-Wood, Jazmine Flores, Lisa Maro and Dr. Satviki. One by one the panelists spoke about their experiences as women in the community and their work to empower women facing the many challenges.
Guest of honour Dr. Carina Garland MP, Federal Labor candidate Chisholm, addressing the gathering talked about how families with business run them and the struggles associated with it, and that she was happy to be celebrating International Women’s Day with multicultural communities.
Azimatul Masriyah Aziz Jamaludin, talked about her role as promoting trade and business relations between Malaysia and Australia. She explained the massive opportunities for investing in Malaysia and trade opportunities.
