LOS ANGELES, CA, December 16, 2025: – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced shortlists in 12 categories for the 98th Academy Awards®: Animated Short Film, Casting, Cinematography, Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Short Film, International Feature Film, Live Action Short Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Sound and Visual Effects.
India’s ‘Homebound’ directed by Neeraj Ghaywan has been nominated in the Best International Feature Film. It will compete with 14 other movies in this category from fourteen countries.
Synopsis- Two childhood friends from a small North Indian village chase a police job that promises them the dignity they’ve long been denied. However, as they inch closer to their dream, mounting desperation threatens the bond that holds them together.
