NEW DELHI/MELBOURNE: Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai famous for movies like Karz and Pardes, is all set to debut on OTT (Streaming service) as a master storyteller and music composer with his latest creation ’36 Farmhouse’ on Zee5. He calls the movie a ‘family entertainer. Subhash Ghai has made 42 movies in his more than three-decades-long career, wrote this film, and composed its music during the harsh pandemic lockdown.

The movie has actors Sanjay Mishra, Amol Parashar, Vijay Razz, Flora Saini, Barkha Singh, Madhuri Bhatia, and Ashwani Kalsekar among others. It premiers on 21 January. RAJEEV SHARMA caught up with Subash Ghai through zoom where he answered queries about his latest film and working style which he fondly tells how he does not want to do the old and the new gives him allergy.

Hence, the decision to use the Zee5 OTT platform to express a story steeped in the Mumbai lockdown where thousands of migrants were moving out and a group of three who moved out. A serious story with entertainment then emerges, Ghai says.
