NEW DELHI/MUMBAI, 15 December 2022: Rajeev Sharma, South Asia Times (SAT) interviewed via zoom today Prateik Babbar, who plays a leading role in ‘India Lockout’ directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The movie which is a criss-cross of four stories during India’s Covid lockdown, now successfully streaming at Zee5 Global. Prateek acts as a migrant labourer who is trying to reach his village from city with his wife and 2 kids.
In this candid talk a relaxed Prateik, discussed about his acting and how he took up the challenge to mingle with his character in the movie. I did a lot of study and research for my role and Madhur Bhandarkar was confident I will do justice to my role, he says.
Prateik who kicked off his career in 2018, says he himself attained a sense of maturity and understanding during the lockout. He is happy the response to the movie is overwhelming.
