SMART 2022 connects small artists with big talent

MELBOURNE, 18 February 2022: This is the fourth year I am treated to exceptional talent from local artists. About 31 community artists showcasing their creations is a treat courtesy of Pratibha Madan’s Preektkriti and other supporters. So many came today evening for the Opening Celebration laced with lots of networking. The Mt. Waverley MP Matt Fregon and the local Mayor graced the occasion. One wonders if this exhibition was not there how would we know these artists amongst us. Here you could talk to them while appreciating their work.

Artists participating in the exhibition have displayed different styles and the color combinations are eye-catching. Some of the artists in the exhibition included Abby Martin, Pratibha Madan, Mansi Jolly, Monalisa, Rahila Zeeshan, Angela New, Heather King, Jan Rose, Gopinath Iyer, Laila Tabassum, and Paige Davis. Participant Rishu Kapoor was excited about the exhibition and talked to South Asia Times:

Most of the art displayed at the exhibition is from ‘small artists’ but the big themes, colors, texture, ideas, visualization, and effort speak for themselves. One could feel the power of art on display. One exceptional artist AILEEN BROOKS was born in 1920and started painting at the age of 94. AILEEN will be celebrating her 102nd birthday this May. Her series of feathered friends are an important part of the exhibition.
