We celebrate India & give back to the country we love:Mitu at PBD 2023

INDORE/MELBOURNE, 10 January 2023: Mitu Bhowmick, Director of Melbourne based Mind Blowing Films (MBF) & CEO of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) today participating in the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) 2023, Indore, detailed the struggle and the ultimate success of Indian movies being part of the Aussie dream, being in the top ten of the Australian Box Office.

The fact Aussie cinemas today regularly show Indian films came about after pushing them to screen Indian movies, she said.

” These films in Hindi, Tamil Telugu, Punjabi and Marathi, she said, “generate $ 200 million annually.”

Touching the IFFM held annually in Melbourne,  is celebrating India and giving back to the country we love, she said.

Mitu Bhowmick was speaking at the Plenary Session V: ‘Harnessing the Potential of Women Diaspora Entrepreneurs towards an Inclusive Approach to Nation Building’.
