Dr. Sushil Kumar to be India’s new Consul General in Melbourne

MELBOURNE, 31 May 2022: Dr. Sushil Kumar, posted at the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka has been posted as the next Consul General of India here. He will replace Mr. Raj Kumar who currently holds the post. Mr. Raj Kumar has been shifted from Melbourne as his tenure is ending soon.

Dr. Sushil Kumar, now the First Secretary (Technical Cooperation) & Head of Chancery, High Commission of India in Colombo, is from the 2009 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). He is likely to take up his new posting soon.
