Sriharikota is a barrier island off the Bay of Bengal coast located in the Shar Project settlement of Tirupati district in Andhra Pradesh, India. India is the fourth country after the United States, Russia and China, to land a craft on the Moon and the first to land on the Moon’s South Pole. No doubt, the Chandrayaan-3 landing on the Moon was a big moment (6.05 PM IST) for India, Indians in India and across the world and everyone in the world.
