JAIPUR, 28 November 2023: Mr. Rahul Singh, prominent practicing Chartered Accountant & Director in the Melbourne-based  Tristar Capital partners & Sap Global  has been through the thick and thin of the Rajasthan elections. He has been camping in Jaipur aiming his energies for Dr. Satish Poonia, MLA (Amber , Jaipur), fighting to retain the seat. He went all the way from Melbourne, Australia for this election campaign.

Rahul talked to Raju Mangodiwala, Rajasthan convenor of the BJP’s NRI cell, and informed him his efforts in the campaign of Dr. Satish Poonia. Apart from discussing with Mr. Raju Mangodiwala, State Convenor, BJP Migrant Cell, Rajasthan, Mr. Lokesh Joshi, BJP leader, the current election in Rajasthan, a discussion on bilateral trade between India and Australia after the Australia- India Economic Cooperation Trade Agreement (ECTA ).

More than 400 families interacted in the Meet & Greet programme with Dr Satish Poonia and the Indian diaspora was impressed  by his leadership skills & felt him as a family member of Indian diaspora, Rahul told Mr. Raju.

Earlier, three elected members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana were hugely impressed by various aspects of Melbourne, during a tour recently, spending time visiting businesses, the Victorian Parliament, feeling the state’s agriculture industry and meeting the Indian Diaspora.

Their visit supported by India’s Raj Dharma Foundation and Australia’s SAP Global, was a big success as it showcased Victoria and Melbourne’s economic development and the democratic ethos. SAP Global’s endeavour was to facilitate business and trade between Australia and India, because of the new opportunities that have emerged as a consequence of the free trade agreement between the two countries.

The delegation consisted of Mr. Satish Poonia, BJP MLA (Amber, Rajasthan), Mr.Pravin Mali, BJP MLA (Deesa, Gujarat) and Mr. Indu Raj Narwal, Congress MLA (Baroda, Haryana) and businessmen Mr. Sitaram Poswal (PG Foundation) and Mr. Ramesh Patidar (Sun Middle East)

Talking to the media, Mr Rahul said, being connected with the large Indian Diaspora organisations in Melbourne and across Australia, the urge to have a look at the conduct of Indian Assembly elections culminated I being here in Rajasthan.

“I and other NRIs met Dr. Punia, and viewed the state election to get full experience for the same. The democratic process in action was the thing that impressed me the most.”, Rahul said.
