Raisina Dialogue 2022: Lisa Singh, Tony Abbott among speakers

MELBOURNE, 20 April 2022: The fourth Raisina Dialogue 2022, will be held April 25-27 in New Delhi. Organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and India’s External Affairs Ministry, India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics will take place under the shadow of the Ukraine crisis shattering the global order. With India, a Quad member not condemning Russia over Ukraine, the significance of the Raisina Dialogue 2022 gains importance to address this and other challenges faced by the world.

Every year, leaders in politics, business, media, and civil society converge in New Delhi to discuss the state of the world and explore opportunities for cooperation on a wide range of contemporary matters. This year’s themes, the ORF site says are, Rethinking Democracy: Trade, Tech and Ideology,
End of Multilateralism: A Networked Global Order?, Water Caucuses: Turbulent Tides in the Indo-Pacific, Communities Inc: First Responders to Health, Development, & Planet, Achieving Green Transitions: Common Imperative, Diverging Realities and Samson vs Goliath: The Persistent and Relentless Tech Wars.

A Tweet by the ORF says EU Commission President Vonder Leyen will join Indian PM Narendra Modi at the inauguration of the Raisina Dialogue 2022.

A list of 107 speakers posted at the ORF site includes Australia India Institute (AII) CEO Lisa Singh, Former Australian PM Tony Abbott and Vikram Sharma, CEO, Quintessence Labs, Australia, Erin Watson-Lynn, Public Affairs Consultant and Adjunct Research Fellow, Griffith Asia Institute, Australia and Rayali Banerjee, Communications Manager at Syngenta, Australia and New Zealand.
