India’s Editor’s Guild slams ‘irresponsible conduct’ of TV channels for spewing hate

The Editor’s Guild of India has issued a media statement on the recent hate speech issue emanating from a TV debate involving functionaries of the ruling party. They were later removed from their posts. A diplomatic backlash followed the TV debate and India clarified its stand. The statement issued on June 8, 2022, and posted on Twitter is signed by Seema Mustafa, President, Sanjay Kapoor, General Secretary, and Anant Nath, Treasurer.
