NEW DELHI, September 24: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today met about 70 foreign journalists from 30 countries based here at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre.

The rather rare meeting called ‘An Interaction’ in the invite, Mr Bhagwat talked about the abrogation of Article 370, mob lynching’s, National Register of Citizens, the Ayodhya dispute among other issues.

He supported the abrogation of Article 370 and the National Register of Citizenship (NRC). Reports indicate about 1.9 million people in Assam have been left out from the NRC. He is also reported to have said, “Homosexuality is a variation, should not be seen as an abnormality. They should be integrated into society. Mr. Bhagwat also said “we condemn all forms of violence.”

The RSS is seen as the ideological mentor of the Hindu- nationalist Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), which is in power in its second term led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
