MELBOURNE, 11 November 2023: Tollywood (Telugu-language film industry) movie stars (Tollywood Stars) from South India will be here on a four-day visit to play in an exhibition T20 match with Telugu Renegades on February 18, 2024 in Melbourne. Sai Krishna, Chairman of the ‘Celebrity Cricket Carnival’ (CCC) met Nick Hockley, CEO, Cricket Australia, joined by Johann Jayasinha who is a part of committee at the poster launch of the event.
Tollywood stars cum Cricketers will be here to promote multicultural cricket at the grassroots level. The likely star contenders are Sri Kanth, Tharun, Nithin, Thaman, Nikhil, Sudheer Babu, Sundeep Kishan, Naresh, Omkar, Satya Dev, Ashwin, Sushanth, Aadi, Prince and Samrat.
The 4 day tour will give a huge exposure of the stars to the multicultural community of Victoria, also the CCC Organization will make a donation to the Royal children’s Melbourne Hospital said Sai Krishna chairman CCC.
The CCC will also be behind Cricket Victoria in promoting multicultural cricket in the BBL side too. The T20 matches will be played at the Werribee Cricket grounds, says a media release.
