50 days-to-go:Mural unveiled to mark T20 opening fixture in Geelong

GEELONG, 26 August 2022: Australia is gearing up for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in October. The Organizing Committee CEO, Michelle Enright today unveiled a mural done by Vernon Tissera to celebrate the opening fixture coming to Geelong. The beautiful mural was painted by Vernon in five days, he had parked himself in a local hotel.

The 2-meter-high mural has the flags of T20 participating countries in circles and the background is blue, giving the look of country flags as flowers. The opening T20 fixture is in Geelong, the mural ushers in 50 days-to-go for the match here. Vernon Tissera tells South Asia Times about the mural in the Kardinia Park Stadium.

Apart from Geelong, Perth, and Sydney also had events today as the countdown to the event ticks down to 50 days-to-go this Saturday, August 27. Organizing Committee CEO, Michelle Enright speaks at the unveiling of the mural.
