Cricket Australia says – Happy Holi, Happy Ramadan

MELBOURNE, 15 March, 2025: Cricket Australia joined thousands of members of the Hindu and Muslim communities is Australia to wish and be with them for Holi and Ramadan. These two prominent festivals of the Indian subcontinent, which this year fell together.

To join in the festivities, Cricket Australia took the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Trophy to Holi and Ramadan events across Melbourne, giving cricket fans in these communities a unique opportunity to take selfies and photos with the iconic trophy.

The excitement was doubled with giveaways of BBL and WBBL merchandise, including Cricket Australia hats, adding to the colorful celebrations.

Cricket Australia’s gesture was a testament to the organization’s commitment to engaging with diverse communities and promoting the spirit of cricket beyond the field, aligning with its Multicultural Action Plan to foster greater inclusivity and diversity within the sport.

By sending Ramadan wishes and Holi greetings, Cricket Australia showed its commitment to being inclusive and welcoming to people from all backgrounds.
