Flinders St. Station brightens up for T20 World Cup 2022

MELBOURNE, 21 January 2022: Australia’s quest for normalcy in the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, was visible today as the Flinders Street Station lighted up showcasing large-scale projections of international T20 heroes images at the entry side of the landmark. The beautiful colorful spectacle reflected along with the Sydney Harbour Bridge (Sydney), The Bell Tower (Perth), King George Tower (Brisbane), Adelaide Town Hall (Adelaide), Princes Wharf (Hobart), and the Geelong Town Hall (Geelong) with stunning projections.

Every participating T20 World Cup country player glowed in color with the slogan ‘This Is The Big Time’, ushering in the electronic imagery to be soon followed by a bigger marketing campaign leading to one of the biggest sporting events to be held in Australia from 16 October – 13 November 2022.

The world’s best cricketers from 16 international teams will clash in 45 matches as the pinnacle global event in Men’s international T20 cricket comes to Australia for the first time.

Defending champions Australia is in Group 1 of the Super 12 stage which includes world number one England, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and two teams to be confirmed from the First Round of the event.

India, who is currently the number two ranked team has drawn long-time rivals Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh in Group 2, with two further teams also to be included after the First Round.
