India’s Consul Gen. Dr. Sushil Kumar congratulates Rohan Bopanna

MELBOURNE, 26 January 2024: India’s Consul General in Melbourne, Dr. Sushil Kumar today met top Indian tennis player, playing at the Australian Open (AO), and congratulated him for   having being conferred the Padma Shri Award and for becoming the oldest World No. 1 in the history of Men’s Doubles at the AO.

Matt Ebden (Australia) and Indian partner Rohan Bopanna will play the men’s doubles final at Australian Open 2024. The second seeds edged out Czech Tomas Machac and China’s Zhang Zhizhen in today’s semifinals at Rod Laver Arena, recording a hard-fought 6-3 3-6 7-6(7) victory, reports tennis.com.au
