MELBOURNE, 29 December 2023: At the MCG on day-4 of the Boxing Day Test between  Australia and Pakistan, I went for a media interaction with Pakistan’s Cricket all rounder Shahid Afridi, whose son-in-law Saheen Shah Afridi is part of the current Pakistan team touring Australia. A quite man standing on his right side of Shahid Afridi, was no one else else but the famous many times world Squash champion, Jahangir Khan from Pakistan.

During his distinguished sporting career, Jahangir was ranked World No.1 who won the World Squash Open six times and the British Squash Open ten times (1982 to 1991). On his first visit to Australia, he is grateful to the community for the support he got.

Later Jahangir Khan along with Shahid Afridi, came to the MCG media room and saw Pakistan playing the second test against Australia and interacted with media persons. Talking to SAT, he nostalgically remembered he being World No. 1 in Squash and remembered having played at the Gymkhana in New Delhi. He credits his success to the almighty, saying, those were the days.
